About Us
“DOF (Definition Of Film) is a platform of independent production in film, television, documentary and artist video.”
As well as creating and producing our own work, we also offer our skills to those looking for a bespoke service in moving image production. We are a team of writers, directors, graphic designers, art directors and producers who are beyond passionate and inspired to make engaging, interesting, and thought provoking work.
Since forming in 2007, we have self funded our own shorts and worked freelance with clients on music videos and corporate video production.
DOF’s wide range of clients have included:

- GRIME DAILY – ‘Last Train from Silver Street’ to be screened as part of Grime Daily’s ‘Film Fridays’
After coming to the attention and impressing whilst working with MTV on their online urban channel titled ‘The Wrap Up,’ DOF were given the chance to produce their first television show for MTV BASE entitled ‘Best of the Best: UK MCs 2010′ which aired on the network in February 2011. Due to its success on broadcast, and becoming a number one trending topic on Twitter, MTV are now in talks with us at DOF to produce and create our second concept idea ‘Music On My Mind’ which has piloted on MTV online.
With film being a major passion and the initial reason for the formation of the company, the exhibition of our personal fictional work remains incredibly improtant to us. DOF have had shorts screened across the UK at festivals such as Wood Green International Short Film Festival, Portobello Film Festival and the London Lite Short Film Festival as well as having high profile festival screenings at Cannes, Brooklyn and Toronto.
As a company, we approach each job from the perspective of infusing strong narrative, humour, dynamic animation, with mixed medias and smart design. We are all about great work being produced at the highest level possible.
